This is a nice Irish musical film with a down to earth storyline. Its about a couple of struggling musicians. The actors are real life musicians by the way, and I really like their music & dowmloaded the soundtrack as well. This is quite a successful Indie-movie (I'm a fan of Indie musics and Indie movies) and received extremely enthusiastic reviews and awards such as the 2007 Independent Spirit Award for best foreign film. Hansard and Irglová's song "Falling Slowly" received a 2007 Academy Award for Best Original Song and the soundtrack as a whole also received a Grammy nomination.

Ooh! I've never heard of this release, I'm always on the look out for good indie movies. There are such bad ones out there (mainstream flicks that is) but this one looks pretty interesting. I'd love to see how they incorporate the music into the movie. Sometimes it's hard for me to get into musicals because it's like, ok everyone's going to start randomly singing, that's kinda awkward.
So maybe this one will be different. I recommend you check out this other indie flick as well, if you're into sci fi at all, you might like this. It's called Chronicles of Hollow Earth: The Next Race. I heard about it and jus decided to pick up the dvd. It's got a crazy storyline, but it's really interesting.
